In our service department, we have found evolving versions of the KAK worm
virus.
Particularly nasty, it reproduces in a variety of formats, and seems to call
out of static IP addresses on unsecured networks.
In a network it distributes itself across, several computers to make itself
rebuild in the event of erasure on one or more machines.
Furthermore, it buries itself into the registry functions and utilizes VB
scripting to reassemble.
If you have knowledge of the origin of this nastiness, please, let me know.
I will also respond with specifics for killing the beast.
Thanks..... SD
