AO4BPEL 2.0 ,Apache ODE extension and re-compile problem.

Dear Colleague,

I am a Phd student current working on SOA based Service evolution in Clouds in Edinburgh Napier University,my name is Wang Zhe. I plan to extend your tools which is AO4BPEL2.0 to the clouds environment supporting by Hadoop platform to finish a case study. That will make the AO4BPEL2.0 can support service evolution in clouds environment.

The Bpel aspect you proposed will be deployed on the extended ODE engine,AO4BPEL 2.0 based on your work. I have already download the source code. By finishing reading the material Expressive Scoping and Pointcut Mechanisms for Aspect-Oriented Web Service Composition I still have some questions. I will be very appreciate if you could answer these question for me, that will be the fully encouragement for my Phd project.

1 Could please give me a practical demo about how to deploy the BPEL aspect to the extended ODE engine? you have give a test case which compare the execution time gap between each cases, e.g. original ODE, modified ODE without BPEL aspect and modified ODE with BPEL aspect to show the advantage of AO4BPEL2.0 which is very impressive but I still confused about how you can deploy an aspect to the modified ODE engine?

2 The source I download is in java files which needed to be compiled before running. Can you give some instructions on compiling these source code and then construct a real AO4BPEL2.0 based service running engine? In order to replace the old ODE engine.

3 You provide a real Aspect Schema in end of the paper. Expressive Scoping and Pointcut Mechanisms for Aspect-Oriented Web Service Composition. I want to know is this the only one schema you used to define the structure of the Aspect or the Aspect structure is flexible to change without to change the ODE 2.0 engine code?

I was the architect of AO4BPEL 2.0.

 

The deployment of aspect is not different from processes, just follow the description of how to deploy a ZIP like in plain Apache ODE, on which AO4BPEL is based.

Regarding the questions about the examples. Have you checked out the code of the mentioned examples? They are in a separate project: https://github.com/stg-tud/ao4bpel2-services

 

I am happy to answer more of your questions on AO4BPEL, however in the next two weeks I am in vacation and therefore I will not check my Emails.

Can you give me some detail instructions on how to compile the ao4bpel2.0 into a executable file. Like apache ode war ,1.3.5. After that I can deploy the aspects into the engine.

All I have are ao4bpel2.0 source code,how to make it running the same as an complied ode engine?

The Compilation of AO4BPEL is not different from the Apache ODE Build process.
