to Anxiety and Panic
I've been suffering from panic attacks for about ten years now as far
as I can recall anyways. I am a 26 and have just barely started dealing
with them in a healthy way in the last year or so. I came here hoping
to find people who can really relate and will accept me and be able to
offer advice and comfort when it's needed and I will try and do the
same for anyone who asks it of me as well. Thank you for letting me
join your little group

to Anxiety and Panic
I am 20 and have had panic attacks very very sporadically, but not
often thankfully. Anxiety however, is a different story. I've had
anxiety since I was about 16 that I have noticed. It is on and off
but mostly always there, making my thoughts race in circles and making
me appear to be apprehensive. The two are probably not related but I
notice that I have quite a few floaters in my vision and that is at
least a trigger for my anxiety sometimes, methinks.

I am new here too and hope to find what you are seeking as well, and I
trust we will. So in what healthy ways are you managing your anxiety?
I usually work out everyday, and that seems to help (by keeping my
mind off it, I guess). That and online gaming of course.

Welcome to the group. There are many many people who suffer with
anxiety and panic...more than I ever thought.

Don't feel embarrassed about it or don't think that you are somehow
different from the majority of those around you. Its surprising how
common anxiety is.. people do a good job covering it up, but it just
amazes me how many people suffer with this problem.

There is so much help these days too... When my anxiety started (over
20 years ago), there was little real help and many doctors passed it
off as just a case of "nerves" ..one doctor even asked me how my sex
life was.

I take zoloft now, wish it was around in the beginning... zoloft has
been gotten me back to a semi normal life. It doesn't work for
everyone, but it sure has been my savior.
