Part of the training in our school, is that we are required to conduct a research study, through our Komunikasyon sa Akademikong Filipino I subject, in accordance to the standards of the university’s requirements and curriculum. And in compliance for such, we, the Group 5 of BS Biology I-2, is currently working on the topic “Isang Pananaliksik Ukol sa Lubos na Pagtangkilik ng Makabagong Henerasyon sa mga Akdang Banyaga Kaysa sa Akdang Lokal” which aims to discover the reasons why the new generation came up to have a change in their certain interests about the books to be bought and read, and why is there a big increase in the purchasing of foreign fiction and non fiction books. In connection to this, we would like to ask permission from you and your office to give us statistical report or graphical representation of progress reports on the sales of books and on the number of books released per year starting (atleast on the year) 2008 up to the present year so that we would be able to provide a scientific proof for this research. We request the separate statistics report of foreign books and local books. We are in lack of time that’s why we just sent a private message on the Facebook page and also, we would not be able to go to the main branch and we don’t have the e-mail address of the person whom we could meet or talk to. Mr. Abdon M. Balde Jr. introduced you to me. He said that you could help us because you are in the PD (purchasing department). We are very much aware that the information we need are not widely open to the public. Your approval to this request will be of great help to the completion of our work.
