Hey everyone,
very last minute notice, but I am performing in a work-in-progress of
Classlines this Saturday at the Urban Transformations Conference at
AU, along with Rose Oliphant and Ellie Walton. We decided to go
personal -- what better way to explore issues of class than by mining
our own stories and experiences. Sometimes it's important to examine
the lens from which we are viewing the world.
The excerpts are short, as we only have 30 minutes. But they are a
rough mix of projection and storytelling. Come and check it out:

PLANET GREEN CONTEST
A fellow artist-in-struggle has entered a $200,000 American-Idol-ish
contest for Green Living in the US. Similar to American Idol, he's
looking for votes. So if you've got a minute, I recommend his work
which is a pilot video show currently in the works for online and tv
networks. Here's his description, "it's a kind like a SNL meets the
entire PLANET GREEN network on SESAME STREET for lunch with a guy-
yelling-on-the-street-about-his-problems to a market research
consultant. The goal is to entertain and inform so that people will
commitment to small actions to improve their lives, communities and
the environment."
