Dear friends, family, and supporters,
Meena's Dream was a GREAT success! Thank you to everyone who came out to see the sold out shows. For all those who didn't get in, thank you as well and email me so we can prioritize you next time. (With your help, that will be sooner than later!)
With 9 days left, and $7000 to raise, we are in the final stretch of the Meena's Dream Indiegogo Campaign ending Tuesday February 4.
If each person on this listserv contributes $6 or more to the campaign, we will reach our goal! If we are 1000 contributors strong, we will give everyone a free song download too. We are at 128 contributors now, so please donate and share.
It's been an incredibly uplifting run with...
- Sold out and full houses
- New theater audiences from a diversity of age, class, heritage
- A passionate volunteer street team who reached out to community groups
- 13 plus media articles, reviews and previews
- Talkbacks where people shared how personally they connected to the story, including a 9 year old girl who insisted on giving $5 to the campaign.
I've received a number of hugs from people, tears in their eyes, about seeing THEIR story on the stage, and what that meant to them. I believe this story can contribute to the larger conversation about poverty and healthcare, and dreaming of a world where everyone has enough.
There is enough.
We are enough.
Thank you and keep dreaming.
Anu
