Unwrapping silence around an issue as thorny as class can be
uncomfortable. Even infuriating. Classlines is a personal
storytelling performance project of 5 people sharing our own stories
of poverty, wealth and the murky territory in between. Based on over
a year of collaboration, listening and story-gathering, the stories
are intimate, provocative, vulnerable, and true. There is little
device separating you from us.

Please note: the stories contain references to violence and are
suitable for mature audiences, 15 and up.

Our aim is to show some honesty underneath the oftentimes vicious
lines that divide us as a society. So come,
and hear our stories. And afterwards, if you choose, share your
stories too.

Questions? Thoughts? Email Anu at a...@classlines.net.

Classlines is funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts and
Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Creative
Communities Initiative, a project of the Community Foundation of the
National Capitol Region. This performance is produced by Bare Stage
Productions, LLC in association with Young Playwrights' Theater.
