Hello everyone,
If you live in DC and are around tonight, I highly recommend this
event. I'm on the board, and they are a phenomenal group of young
women artists.

Come help us celebrate another wonderful year of DRUMMING EMPOWERMENT
by joining us at the POTTER'S HOUSE on Jan 2 for a DRUM RAISER!
Please bring a donation ($10-$20 suggested) as we will be raising
funds for our 5th annual Summer Enrichment Program coming up in 2009!
We need YOUR support during these difficult times and will give it
back full fold with rhythms, poems, movement and songs that will
deeply inspire you and kickstart your heart!
In addition you'll be graced by the Princess of Controversy herself, a
local ARTIVST (activist/artist) whose songs and rhymes urge us all to
love ourselves, honor one another, stop hate and violence, and live
out our dreams. Princess is also an instructor of performance
technique for our summer enrichment program, and will be performing a
song with YWDEP!
In addition we will open up the space for a COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLE
after our performance to help you rediscover the rhythm inside you and
get your blood pumpin for the new year!
Please join us!
If you cannot join us - please consider
donating to YWDEP online through Paypal!
