I have installed ccproxy server and have setup firefox to use this proxy server. Now I am trying out different features of proxy server. For testing purpose, I want to check blocking of stackoverflow.com site. I create a webfilter and edit the client account to use this web filter. Still, I can access this site.
The last team was using ccproxy for around 300 people in the company and the little ccproxy cant keep it up. It stops working all the sudden when we have a high load and it doesn't really do logging other than to show the requests that went through it. Do you guys know any alternative to this software? What I want to do is have a transparent proxy with good url filters, acl, blacklist and solid logging. So far the only alternative we found is Pfsense+squid3+squidGuard.
Suppose the server IP address in the LAN is 192.168.0.1, and then 192.168.0.1 is the proxy server address.
You can download CCProxy here. Run ccproxysetup.exe and follow the on-screen instructions to install CCProxy.
