786g7 Bios Update

I was trying to add a 6TB WD Red Hard Drive as external storage, but my Ubuntu (18.04.4) could not detect this drive when I plugged it in. I have some confusion about the hardware, so that I used Ubuntu live CD installation disk to format this disk. This 6TB disk was connected to SATA0 of the motherboard (coming with HP Compaq 8000 Elite CMT PC desktop).
Edited: Because I could not comment any more, added response to heynnema's question here. I do not know how to enable this specific disk to BIOS, although I enabled the external HD drive from the BIOS pull-down menu.My liveDVD is Ubuntu18.04 and, output of sudo dmidecode -s bios-version : 786G7 v01.02

HOLA! excelente da a todos, alguien me podra ayudar a actualizar la bios de HP COMPAQ 8000 ELITE SFF PC, actualic mi equipo a windows 10 y me dio un fallo de drives de usb que no he podido erradicar, me han recomendado actualizar la bios, actualmente la que tiene es 786G7 v01.04 y la mas reciente que encontr en el soporte HP es la 786G7 v01.14 pero no he podido ejecutarla tampoco versiones anteriores a esta, me redirecciona a una pagina de Chrome, no s si sea necesario regresar a windows 7 o como puedo actualizarla?
Hola no entiendo bien, yo he descargado la Bios sin problemas y la ejecutado ( no la le instalado ya que el pc es diferente ) entiendo que no se descarga del todo y no puede buscarla en descarga. Use otro navegador, windows 10 tiene dos propios Edge y explorer intente con ellos.
SI LA PUEDO DESCARGAR CON CUALQUIER NAVEGADOR, PERO AL EJECUTARLA ABRE UNA PAGINA YA INSERTADA DONDE VIENEN INSTRUCCIONES DE COMO ACTUALIZAR LA BIOS , y el PROGRAMA HPQFlash, que el sistema me indica que no se puede ejecutar, ya lo he intentado ejecutar desde cmd y me sale el error que el programa est daado y que la bios no se actualizar.
will go to a technican tomorrow to flash it back with external flasher. will try with full stock bios with inserted NvmE module first - it not boots up then get back to stock and use old sata ssd as a boot partition and put windows on m2.
spend 1.5 hours with a guy in attempts to flash it - no luck (tried both - stock and modded full firmware file from HP website). He used CH341A flasher and CH341A Programmer software but got an error "chip contents does not match buffer. Chip Secured OTP and buffer are identical". After going home he found out that there is a bug this his version of software and our bios chip which is mx25l12873f (sits under cooling fan near m2 ssd) a different version of neoprogrammer should be used. Maybe try next time on a weekend.
Hi Guys, my mini is up again flashed full stock firmware file with a nmve module injected with MMTool 4.50.0.23 usine neoprogrammer and ch341A external flasher and it works! boots up perfectly with my Kingston A2000 with no sata attached at all! See the a2000 in BIOS boot order so looks like native support

in my failed attempt it seems that i killed the built-in intel network adapter MAC address as it displays as ffffffffff in bios and the device is not able to startup in windows device manager (error code 10). I tried to google for it and it appears that i need to write the new valid MAC into our i217-lm adapter eeprom. Any idea on how to do that? I tried with the ASRock utility to clone mac - but it fails with error "Device in D3 state".
Another bug i found is that i am not able to boot with DOS Usb stick. I could do that easily before i killed my bios but after restore - all fails. It just stops on black screen with blinkin cursor _ but sees the USB stick bootable in BIOS boot order. Tried different options in BIOS but still fail. Any gues on what could be wrong?
