Hi all,

I just installed anuga viewer on my new desktop (Ubuntu 14.04). I also
followed the instruction from the website. Everything is good until I tried
to see chairns.sww using anuga_viewer.

Here is the error message:
ryanign@RVWS-DELL-002:~/Documents/AIFDR-JAKARTA/TSUNAMI/anuga_core/anuga-viewer/data$
anuga_viewer cairns.sww
SWOLLEN_BINDIR =

FONT_PATH =

Assert (_font) in file hud.cpp at line 59terminate called after throwing an
instance of 'ThrowAssert'

Aborted (core dumped)
ryanign@RVWS-DELL-002
:~/Documents/AIFDR-JAKARTA/TSUNAMI/anuga_core/anuga-viewer/data$

Is there something wrong with my desktop?

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I too have that problem.

It is actually a problem with the openscenegraph package on ubuntu 14.04
(which in turn is due to a problem with cmake).

openscenegraph has been compiled without freetype support (because the
version of cmake used couldn't find the new location of freetype).

I have been waiting (and hoping) that the package will be updated and
the error will go away.

There are some pre-compiled updated binaries at

http://openscenegraph.alphapixel.com/osg/downloads/free-openscenegraph-binary-downloads

which might work.

Cheers
Steve
