Bridgeis a fun and challenging game to be enjoyed by players of all ages. 247 Bridge is the perfect game for beginners and experts alike, as there are always ? buttons along the way to help you play the game if you are confused, or you can turn these off to play the expert game of bridge you know and love!

Bridge is played with one full set of cards. Four players are required for bridge (lucky for you, we've created amazing artificial intelligence so you can play any time at your computer!). Bridge is a game of partnerships, so the player across the table is your partner, and the players to the right and left are on the opposing team.

Bridge is made up of two main parts. Initially the bidding process and then the game play. Suits are ranked in Bridge from Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, to Clubs, the lowest. This is important in the bidding process and scoring. During the bidding process, players are determining how many tricks they can take with a single suit (or no suit - NT) as Trump. Trump means a card of that suit will always win the trick (if it is the highest of that trump suit played within that trick). If you bid, it is assumed your team will win 6 + the number of tricks bid. So, if you bid 1 Spade, you are saying you think your team can win 7 tricks during the hand with Spades as the trump suit. Obviously you don't know what your teammate has so there is a bit of back and forth and guessing involved, but that's where the fun is! If you don't think you can up your teammate or opponent's bid, just pass. Three passes in a row means a bid is complete and the computer will tell you who wins the bid and with what bid. Doubling is a way to let your opponent know you don't think they can win the amount of the bid they have set during the bidding process. You are upping the ante by doubling the points. A Redouble is used when an opponent doubles your partner and you Redouble, stating you definitely can win that hand with those tricks. A double or redouble is wiped from the board whenever another bid is made after it. There are many complicated ways to determine how to bid which we will not go into here, but you are welcome to research as the internet has a plethora of sites to learn from.

The game play portion of Bridge is where the hand is played out. One hand will always be flipped so you can see the cards. If your team won the bid, you will be playing your teammate's hand. Otherwise, you will see one of your opponent's hands. If your team has won the bid, the goal is to take that many tricks by playing high cards or trump cards. If your team did not win the bid, your goal is to stop the other team from meeting their bid by winning your own tricks. Once the hand is completed either the bidding team will have won or lost and the points will be tallied up accordingly. Only the winning bid team will be allowed to make points towards their game score if they succeed in meeting or exceeding their bet. All other points are tallied in the bonus section of the board. A game is won when a team reaches 100 game points. The bridge match is best two out of three. At the point where a team wins two of the games, all the scores, including the game and bonus scores, are added up to determine the winner.

I kinda need to point out that the C or U designation refers to the paper the ink is applied to. Pantone inks are made with one formula and will look different on coated and uncoated paper. That is what the swatch deck is showing you.

I have clients that use ALL the books as different color swatches, often requiring a chart match on the Uncoated colors as most of my wide format vendors are calibrated to coated, whether or not the media is matte or gloss.

CMYK values are always a risk. If you are using a bridge, you may not even want the CMYK values for your pantone number, as they may not particularly match the swatch deck chip. You might want the values for some other number, for which you need a physical book, not an online viewing portal.

The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.

We recently became aware of a FasTrak tolling system issue wherein a small number of customers in two-axle vehicles were overcharged at the multi-axle toll rate. Read more at FasTrak Tolling Issue Update.

There are four easy ways to pay a Golden Gate Bridge toll - a FasTrak Account, License Plate Account, One-Time Payment, and Toll Invoice. Tolls may be paid using credit card, cash, check or money order, and can be paid online, by phone, or in person. Learn more about which option is best for you.

With a FasTrak Account, a vehicle-mounted toll tag is read by antennae. If no toll tag is present, cameras are positioned in each toll lane to record images of your front and rear license plates as your vehicle passes through the toll plaza. The toll can be assessed electronically to your License Plate Account or to a One-Time Payment transaction. If neither has been set up, a Toll Invoice will be issued and sent to the registered owner of the vehicle.

Your tolls are automatically deducted from a prepaid account that can be opened using a credit card or cash. At the Golden Gate Bridge, FasTrak offers a discounted toll rate and is required for carpools. To learn more about carpools, visit our Carpools & DMV Decals page.

When your vehicle goes through the toll plaza, your FasTrak toll tag, when properly mounted on your vehicle, will be read by antennae and the toll tag will beep. Your account is then charged the appropriate toll. If, for some technical reason, your toll tag does not beep, cameras will capture images of your vehicle license plates. If this license plate is associated with your FasTrak Account, your account will then be charged the appropriate toll.

To activate a FasTrak Account, a prepaid toll balance and a $20 refundable toll tag deposit are required. When using a credit card, the initial prepaid minimum toll balance is $25; when using cash, check or money order, the initial prepaid minimum toll balance is $50. Once your account is open and activated, you can monitor it online at www.bayareafastrak.org.

Purchase a FasTrak toll tag for $25 ($20 refundable deposit and $5 in prepaid tolls) at a participating Costco or Walgreens store, or find another retail location near you at www.bayareafastrak.org. Once you have a toll tag, you may open a FasTrak Account and pay the initial prepaid balance several ways:

A License Plate Account can be opened with a credit card or with cash, check, or money order. If you open your account with a credit card, the Golden Gate Bridge toll is charged to your credit card each time your vehicle crosses the Bridge. There is no prepaid toll balance required and there are no extra fees. If you open your account using cash, check, or money order, a prepaid toll balance, equivalent to a single toll, is required, and the toll is deducted from the account each time your vehicle crosses the Bridge. There are no extra fees with this option.

A One-Time Payment is exactly that - you pay your toll, one payment at a time. One-Time Payments are suggested for drivers who infrequently cross the Golden Gate Bridge; for visitors who travel in their own vehicles from out of the Bay Area area, from out-of-state, and from out of the country; and for customers who want to pay using cash.
