Parser and Lexer Interpreters in Python

Is it possible to create parser and lexer Interpreters in Python? As described here https://github.com/antlr/antlr4/blob/master/doc/interpreters.md

My aim is: given an arbitrary grammar, parse an arbitrary string in Python without compiling a parser. Is this possible?
