Hello All,
My name is Laura Jensen and I am the new secretary for the Antler Lake Association. At our annual meeting, we discussed developing an emergency preparedness plan given the events of last summer where straight line winds caused many trees to fall and damage to several cabins around the lake. A small group of members are working on a plan where association members would have a central number (command center) to contact in the event of a storm or some other non-life threatening situation where someone might need help. The thought is the association would maintain a list of people who would be willing to check on your property, bring a chainsaw to help clear logs from a driveway so you can get out, or plow out a driveway so people aren’t stranded. The command center would also send out alerts by email or text if bad weather has hit the lake area.
If you would like to receive these communications or be a part of the emergency preparedness team, please email me your name, address on the lake (including a description of house), and primary and secondary phone numbers (texts acceptable?) by June 30th. Also, if you have a shared driveway and there is a letter associated with your house number, please include that as well.
Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon! If you have any questions, I can be contacted at 513-317-6751.
Laura
