Dear colleagues:
Registration is now open for two iterations in June of our free, online, three-session “Getting Started” series, which is designed to get new participants acquainted with policies and trained in processes for using, modifying, and creating new content in the Pleiades gazetteer of ancient places. The first two-hour session addresses “finding and using” place resources in the gazetteer. The second two-hour session moves on to “modifying and adding”, which provides ands-on training to contribute original content to the Pleiades gazetteer of ancient places, both by improving existing entries and creating entirely new ones. The final two-hour session builds on skills learned in the preceding sessions through more hands-on work, this time focused on how to structure references and citations in Pleiades and how to suggest the addition of new, citable works to the Pleiades Zotero library.
To learn more, and to register in advance (required), please visit the Pleiades gazetteer Events page.
Please feel free to forward this notice to other potentially interested people.
Thanks,
Tom
