The Road to War continues this month, with The Dentists Purple People
Eaters clearly the crowd favourite at over twice any other threads
views, and my own Morrowguard coming
second with a few battle reports.
If you haven't yet got in and started a thread of your own, do it now,
it's been great to see all the community involvement in the projects
and should provide some really good wrap ups as the big tournaments
hit at the end of this month.
RankingsHQ
Rankings HQ (http://www.rankingshq.com) is very excited to have
recently launched Warmachine & Hordes on its tournament rankings and
social networking web site. Rankings HQ is an international rankings
business that tracks and publishes rankings for gamers around the
world. There are over 1,000 tournaments and 12,000 players in the
database with almost 3000 registered users maintaining their profiles,
personal blogs and networks of gaming friends from over 40
countries.
Rankings HQ publish statistics on the imported tournaments including
Faction and Warcaster/Warlock rankings. A few tournaments have
already been imported for Australia (http://www.rankingshq.com/
rankings/pp.aspx?RegionId=1) & New Zealand (http://www.rankingshq.com/
rankings/pp.aspx?RegionId=10). We look forward to building up the data
on the site providing a great tool for players to use to enhance their
hobby.
Defiant Gaming's MKII cards offer
There are a lot of people coming into Hordes/WM and unfortunately
sometimes old cards have been left in packs of figures. We have been
replacing cards as we go but I know for a fact we've missed a few.
There is still some stock coming from distributors with old cards in
them.
What we are proposing on doing is offering those who have
inadvertently picked up figures that have old cards in them a swap out
for new cards. There will be some rules however and limitations (like
if there are more than a handful it may be time to get a deck, and
this is not a chance for old players to replace all their cards).

COMING EVENTS
A fresh year has hit, and we have a whole bunch of tournaments for you
this month - the biggest clearly at Arcanacon, which currently has 54
registered players! I look forward to seeing the field and competing
in whats going to be Australia's biggest ever Warmachine and Hordes
event, and many props to Morsla for setting it up as always!
