The year continues rolling along, and Warmachine and Hordes contines

Mailing list!

FloodMachine
http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showforum=358
When your favourite and most handsome of the Antipodean Thralls saw
the rampant devastation in Queensland last month, he simply couldn't
stand by and do nothing. Calling the super special justice friends of
Australia together, AKA the local gaming community, we've come up with
a whole event package named FloodWar for several gaming systems, and
now have events all over the place.
Having now raised over $6,000 towards the QLD Premiers Flood Appeal,
FloodMachine is one of the most successful charity gaming events to
date, with the Adelaide event weekend after next to top it off and
include some other games to really get some big numbers. So far top
dog is Norton's FloodMachine in Brisvegas itself, scoring over $1,300
to the cause!

Spread the word and get every player, club, and store you know to sign
up for the list so they too can get monthly information packets
delivered right to their email. Always remember you can mail me via
the address at the bottom of the newsletter, or PM me via the
WargamerAU or PrivateerPress forums with relevant information to
include in future newsletters, or just for comments/critique and other
requests.
Road to War
http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/index.php?showforum=343
Has wound up, with the Community Choice award going to Chunky and his
Protectorate and Trollbloods blog! Chunky will receive the Privateer
Press art print of his choice delivered to his door thanks to your
favourite Pressgangers, the Antipodean Thralls, who thank you all for
your involvement. There was such an epic feel to the road, I miss it
already, and along with many others have started blogs elsewhere - if
anyone would like to have their blog address listed in the mailer,
please feel free to email me and I'll include them starting from next
month

Oz Super Series
http://www.rankingshq.com/ozsuperseries/
Stolen shamelessly from the announcement thread on WargamerAU, the
team at Irresistible Force have been working behind the scenes with
Hall of Heroes and Realm of Legends to put together a new series that
will
build on the burgeoning Warmachine & Hordes scene in Australia and
provide a fantastic new tournament championship.
Tickets for events are available through the RankingsHQ website listed
above, with events in several states and possibly more to come. Forum
chatter seems heavy on the Super Series, it should be a real treat.

FINAL WORD
My pet project at the moment is FloodWar, so you'll forgive me for
pimping it just one more time! If you have an event near you, get in
there, and if you don't, run one! There's an easy to use document in
the main thread on WargamerAU, plenty of extra incentive for players
with the Australian FloodMachine National Raffle, and a good amount of
competition with each state to see who'll raise the most. More
importantly than anything, though, a lot of us have been up to
Queensland and had a great time playing Warmachine and Hordes up there
- let's see if we can't give a little back, and help out our north
eastern bretheren?
And as always, PLAY LIKE YOU'VE GOT A PAIR.
Regards,
Terry Masson
aka PG Tilaurin
