Hey folks,
This is off topic of the chain that was created but I wanted to get this idea out there. I was just gonna print these fliers and hand them out today but I cannot seem to find a proper code to use even though I think I am in 3 clubs or something like that. Please give it a peep if you get a chance. I am gonna head down to westlake right now that I know I cannot do this : (
Please give feedback on these if you have time though.
See some of you soon!

Subject: Re: FULL Saturday schedule for Occupy Seattle
Hi all,
2 nights ago, the GA had voted for the Night of 500 Tents, to reoccupy Westlake on Sat night. However last night (Thurs night),
which was the time to put out the announcements and plans for Saturday, the GA was cut short and postponed. As of last night, there
had been no concrete plan/schedule for Saturday.
Some of us gathered to form a working group to put out a SIMPLE, BASIC schedule for Saturday. It is important simply because we
need to publicize it today and let people know to come during the day, not just for the GA. We need to let people know that the
afternoon rally is open for all, that all ages are welcome, even if they cannot stay for the night.
This was the rationale behind this rushed schedue. Myself and others talked with various people from Outreach as well and no one I
talked to had known about any concrete schedule/plan for Saturday.
Hope we can all work around this schedule with the understanding that we are all able and free to speak/lead at any part of it, and
that it is flexible. I think theres a lot of confusion because of the tensons/confusion of the GA and the lack of information flow.
I hope this is a constructive step for making Saturday work. It is not meant to override anyone elses' efforts, but more so a
desperate attempt to make sure we have something to publicize for Saturday. We want to make sure that we reach out beyond our own
friendship circles, so the Occupation can be more diverse and public. This schedule will also be brought up in the GA this evening
too.
Hope to see everyone. Sorry for the confusion.

Hey Christopher,
Thanks for the update. Is this now the official schedule for the day, as ratified by the GA? I'm trying to help some
groups make plans for the day and we want to work within that schedule. Also what Chase bank were people planning on
marching to? Thanks.

Subject: THIS SATURDAY: Major action with Occupy Seattle
To:
Hey all,
On Saturday, October 15 from 12:00-3:00pm and starting in Westlake Park (4th Ave. and Pine St. downtown), come
join this march to build a crucial base of support for Occupy Seattle. The occupation here has been building and
there are demonstrations around the world that support one another--this weekend will be a major chance to add to
the force of the movement.
**IF YOU CAN: it would mean a lot if you can help get the word out to friends and any groups you're involved
with!!**
Here's the official written invitation:
"Seattle needs your help to reclaim our occupation. We cannot maintain our space unless we attain critical mass,
and we need everyone's help to do it. Seattle is one of the top corporate headquarters of the world. It is
important for the integrity of this movement and this country that we the people of the great northwest let the
powers that be, the powers that surround us, know that this occupation is not going anywhere. So this Saturday,
bring your tents, and your Sunday best.
Meet at Westlake Center, and we will decide from there where we will set up base camp."
NOTE: the action will not end at 3:00. Participants are currently spending the night in the park, and everyone is
encouraged to camp on Saturday. Families and young people welcome!

She asked for me to forward it cos her account doesnt let her.
BTW,
@ Joanna: I think you should print it out and we can announce it!! Maybe leave out the time and date and say: I HEREBY DECLARE I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT...or something so people who havent, but want to, dont have to backdate it or something!
Also, I think Chase is closed by 3pm-- when the rally is headed there. But some people are going in the morning too at 1030 -- 5th and union!
CU!
Message:
Having the schedule sent out is SUPER helpful for all the people who want to be involved but have been unsure about when is the best time to show up. I know A LOT of people -- individuals and supportive groups -- who are coming on Saturday precisely because they finally have a sense that things are organized and they know when they should show up. I think the basic framework for Saturday looks great, and there's enough room in it for people to add their own ideas... i.e., workshops during the rally hours, small discussion groups as tents are set up, etc.Let's emphasize that when we march to Chase, people should go in and close their accounts! (Would the bank still be open by then? It might be good to announce, at the rally, that people are encouraged to close their accounts, either that day before the banks close, or sometime during the next week.) Maybe we could have a flyer that people can tape to their clothing that says, "I closed my account at ___________ today." or something to that effect? If people like that idea, let me know, and I'll try to get it printed.Looking forward to Saturday!P
