Hey people,

tomorrow we are meeting at 5 in the backroom of cafe allegro (as usual) to discuss bell hook's critique on paris is burning: Is Paris Burning?  I thought I would also include a critique that was mentioned last Saturday by Judith Butler, called Gender Is Burning: Questions of Appropriation and Subversion.  Also, does anyone want to bring a poem for tomorrow?  We forgot to talk about it last Saturday.

See you tomorrow!
Pamela

Hi all,
I'm running errands on the east side tomorrow and may not be back in time.  I'm really curious about what everyone thinks of the bell hooks piece though, could someone take some casual notes in case I don't make it?

Thank you,
Minh

Yeah, we'll make sure someone takes some notes. Travis, you are welcome to bring the poem for tomorrow!  Also, Bang pointed out that the Butler piece I uploaded was missing pages.

Here it is with those essential critiques included:  Gender is Burning: Questions of Appropriation and Subversion (COMPLETE).
