Hey Everyone,

Two weekends ago, I and a few other people got together to meet for potentially having more Anti-Colonial Seminars.  A few people have approached Chris and I saying they would like to re-start it.   We had a brief meeting two weeks ago but it was on such short notice I didn't have a chance to send it to the list-serve.  Near the end of the conversation we decided to meet again in two weekends (this Sunday).

It would be great if we could have a meeting this weekend, but someone recently brought to my attention that this might be bad timing, considering we are nearing finals week and the pressure is mounting.  What do you guys think....? It would be great if you could re-ply (all) for some input.

It'd be really exciting if we could meet this weekend.  But next weekend (and even waiting until January) is fine too.  The main thing is: having some Anti-Colonial Feminisms meet-ups/conversations/hang outs/whatever brought up once again. Conversations, guys. Words. Very exciting.

Anyways, if you're interested, you should come to our new time.  We decided to move it from Saturday to Sunday at three pm, because it generally seems like a more flexible day.  If you guys have other suggestions, please reply, or if you're able to, come to our meeting and so we can talk about some other options.  As usual, its held in the Back-room of Cafe Allegro, but again this is negotiable (Chris had suggested maybe doing it at the Occupy Seattle camp in somehow?).

The last thing is, what would people be interested in reading?  That's a question that we decided to be answered as the days went on.  We still have that great syllabus online which we've been through about half of, but I think some of the links are dead (if not all?).  During our meet-up we decided on throwing out suggestions to this e-mail/e-mail group for anything you are interested in reading in this group.  If you need some ideas feel free to use the syllabus linked above for some direction. I wouldn't mind scanning what people seem enthusiastic about.

Hope to see you guys soon!

hey, i've been away from email for a couple weeks, but i would really like to participate in the seminar again while i'm still in seattle. i'll be in olympia this coming sunday, but are there plans to meet this weekend (or every 2 weeks)? any discussion or updates from the last meeting?

i can also provide info for people to re-up the pdf links or make other changes on the AF seminar page--mediafire was the external host for the documents (meaning that the download links ran through the antechamber site, not in it), and it's straightforward. not sure what people feel about meeting at SCCC, but we could talk to people/students there, and it could potentially be posted at the learning tent?

I would like to be part of Anti-Colonial Feminisms, again, especially since starting next quarter I will most likely be doing related research and would love to have this space to discuss ideas. Unfortunately, I work weekends and am generally not available until the evening on weekends. Perhaps a doodle poll would be a good way to set a time, once people's schedules are ironed out for winter quarter?

Hey guys,

As suggested by Kate, I created a google poll to see if we can find a time that works best for everybody.  If this doodle poll dissatisfies you, please let me know.  Also, it is probable that as of right now your schedules for Juanuary are uncertain, so take your time filling it out. Also, disregard the 1am meeting time, if you want.

Just thought I'd remind people to take the doodle poll, now that the quarter is underway and schedules have been settled into. Maybe we can have the first meeting next week?

Stage 6 readings are of particular interest to me right now, is there one folks would want to start with?
