appearance of being open to debate...
Have you ever been to Monticello? It is one of the more remote
locations in Utah. It's bucolic and picturesque, for sure, but not
exactly where I'd move an organization heavily dependent on seminar
travel. I've never understood why they're moving there, other than to
guess that it's because someone gave them the land. But if you read
"First Fifteen Years" Brooks makes it seem like settling on Monticello
was the result of a long, deliberative, well-thought-out process. But
I think it's because someone gave them the land. He's right though,
they're a private organization. I fault the followers as much as
Brooks.
I've wondered though if they're going to start forcing the locals to
call it Monti-CHELLO instead of the traditional Monti-SELLO.
