Hello, I am just checking out the anti-TJed things I can find online.
I have followed the principles espoused in the TJed books, but have
always had a lingering doubt about the way things are run, as well as
the way OD makes it sound like he invented this method of education.
Now I'm seeing so many seminars, and the attitude that you can't start
homeschooling this way without attending all these seminars. And if
you do start without the seminars, you are seen as a charlatan.
Something just doesn't feel right about this. Now I am being asked to
speak tonight on the benefits of a TJed, at a Intro to TJed night. I
love homeschooling, but want to understand my qualms a little
better...that's why I am here!

Specifically concerning TJed, there's a file in this group named
TJedEvaluation you ought to read if you haven't already. This link:

post, goes over some other views critical of TJed's methods. Please
feel free to ask us any questions, specific or general about our
thoughts on TJed not already covered in our posts here, we will more
than happy to answer and we would love to know how you TJed night

Welcome. We are not an incredibly active group, but we are a
collection of people from all over who have each realized TJed for the
fraud that it is. At least one other member of our group (and probably
more) is a homeschooling parent, and has made me retract some of my
old stereotypes of homeschooling. You see, there is a proper way for
homeschooling to be done. But I promise you, TJed isn't it. It's a
joke, just like its creator. I suggest you read the link engima
posted, it's polite but objective. After that look in our files
section and read "diploma demille" then you too will know the whole
truth regarding Oliver DeMille. (This one is a bit longer, but an
essential read.)
