Anthony Vigorito is a proud, second generation Italian-American, a lifelong Brooklynite, a proud product of the New York State educational system, and a retired New York City school teacher. He lives with his wife Ann in Windsor Terrace. He was mentored by Ken Siegelman, Brooklyn’s third Poet Laureate. Vigorito is the author of three chapbooks: 17 West, Clefs & Palettes and Pier 48 South Brooklyn.
Anthony released his fourth collection of poetry, Seeing in 17 — Art Haiku, in Autumn of 2014.
Anthony continues to host Ken Sielgelman’s Brooklyn Poetry Outreach at the Park Slope branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. He also hosts Tom Kane’s Bookmark Bards at The BookMark Shoppe in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
When not writing poetry, Anthony likes spending time with his grandchildren.
