PUBLIC TALK ON "CHINA IN THOSE DAYS" by Mr Thomas Brandt,

General Manager of the Malaysian-German Chamber of Commerce.

 

 

I managed to organise the above Talk jointly with UTAR.

It is free. Unfortunately they can not arrange any food or drinks here.

 

Date  : 28th February , Tuesday

Time  : 7.30 - 9.30 pm

Venue :  University Tunku Abdul Rahman

         PJ Campus, PD Block

         No 9 Jalan Bersatu 13/4

         46200 PJ , Selangor

 

Parking is free but you need to be early, otherwise you may park out side the campus ; also free by that time.

 

I shall appreciate that whilst you may register on-line, can you also contact me if you are attending ? I need to advise them the number attending from our side.

I attended his 1st.Talk and it was worth the evening spent. I am sure he would have made it more interesting by now.

 

If you are interested to purchase the book , it is a bit expensive at RM 500 /= , but it is a well produced book of thousands of lovely postcards with good story lines for each. The quality and the effort put in is highly commendable.

 

He is a very busy guy and it took me some time to get on to his schedule so please do not miss this round.

Dear Ka Ngan,

all is fine
but possibly you can adjust a bit in the synopsis, as the book is
about 5000 years of Chinese history, mainland and Chinese Overseas,
illustrated with 1600 images from the period 1895-1914. The Chinese
Overseas is one of his favorite topics which he will not leave out in
his evening Show.

The wordings "Brandt will talk about the history of China THAT HE HAS
LEARNT from those post-cards e.g." is not true...
further: "will share how he acquired his collection " you can leave it
out as well as not very appropirate.

NO NEED to see it again, just send the final flyer so i can send it on
here and there..
(i have 2 days of work and then i leave for 3 weeks business to
