How do I add date?

First of all, thank you for this wonderful plugin.

I'm currently using wordpress on my own PC as a diary, then I'm planning to export portions of this diary as pdf to be shared to my friends. I do know some PHP, but I'm not very familiar with Wordpress, how do I add the date during export, which code should I touch for this to happen? Thanks!
