Hey Julian,
I know you can add a footer on print books but just wondering if there's a way to do that after each section in the ebook.
If I have 15 chapters, each a different section, would I be able to automatically add an end piece to those sections like a copyright notice or text indicating another book to refer to.
Cheers,
Mark Sevi

Hi Mark,

Not exactly, I'm afraid, but here are some thoughts:

1. A footnote could be used to add text to the end of the chapter. You could adjust the footnote link format to be as unobtrusive as possible.

2. You could add a variable such as %ENDTEXT% and if it was project-wide, you could place the text (no formatting though) in a string table to be replaced throughout the book - or use a different variable per different block of text.

3. You could use assets and the HTML template facility to add HTML text you define in project properties to the end of the generated HTML text (in Jutoh Plus). However I think that might be more of a hassle than simply copying and pasting the text at the end of each chapter.

4. In Jutoh Plus, you can write a little script to insert an existing file at a given point in a section, before the project is compiled. See https://www.jutoh.com/jutohplusdocs/html/section-0005.html#auto_bookmark_13.

5. This isn't entirely relevant, but if you want to automate replacing a whole chapter with one from a different project (for example if you have lots of books and the same "About the author" chapter) you can specify the second project/chapter within the section's properties, and it will be replaced whenever you update "Fields & Numbering" (manually or automatically).

Regards,

Julian
