Hi,
Just want to check that I understand "Maximum Image Width" & "Maximum Image Height" in Configurations.
For publishing to Kindle ("Epub Configuration") I've left these set to -1, and my actual images have widths of 800px.
Now as well, I'm publishing as a 6" x 9" paperback ("KPD Print Configuration") and reckon I need to replace these images with 1600px width (to give about a 300dpi resolution for the printed book).
So, I've done this and now get tips such as the following (when publishing "KPD Print Configuration");
TIP (Jutoh): large image found (4.1 megapixels) in document a larger land (a-larger-land-cover-1600x2560.jpg).
I assume the solution is to:
- leave Max Width / Height at -1 for the "KDP Print configuration" and ignore the tips
- and for the "Epub Configuration", set Max Width to 800 (which will resize the images back to 800 width for me for this configuration?)
Is this correct?
Thanks,
Ron
