Spam email warning [AntConc:3377]

Dear AntConc Discussion Group Users,

Earlier today it seems that one of our members sent the group a spam message with links to money schemes. It will have arrived with the ID "AntConc:3377". Please ignore or delete this email and avoid clicking on any of the links in the email as they are potentially dangerous.

I have already deleted the spam message from the AntConc discussion records and banned the user that sent the message.

This is the first time in the 10+ years that the discussion group has been running that such spam has arrived and I have needed to ban a member. It reminds me why it is important to maintain a member request/approval system rather than allow anyone to join the group.

I'm sorry for the incovenience caused.
