Hello,

I tagged my data with TagANT and uploaded it to AntCon 3.5.9. I aim to retrieve all inflected forms of VERBS. Therefore, I have to do search for lemmas. Before sending an email, I checked the emails in the group. I found a specific mail which respond to my  question.You can see it below.

But I have a problem; although I tried to adjust the token definition in the global settings, I could not do it. The thing is how I can adjust star (*) in the global setting?
If it is possible could you please add a screenshot of correct selection for *_V*  in the global settengs to this email?

The email that I mentioned is;
"Sure, you can use wildcards in the tags, too. A common search for all verb forms would be:

*_V*

One hint with tagged data is to adjust the token definition in the global settings to include all character categories. This will then keep the tag together with the word in the word list tool, etc."

Kind regards.

Hi,

Sorry for the very slow reply. First, remember that you need to use a POS tagged corpus. Assuming that your corpus is tagged, you can then simply search for verbs using *_V*, where the * means 'anything'.  But, if you want to search for certain inflections, you just need to adjust the part after the *_. For example, *_VBD or *_VBZ and so on. The exact tags will depend on the tagset that you using.

I hope that helps.

Laurence.
