Hello,

For my bachelor thesis, I would like to search for the frequency of a list of nouns in a tagged corpus. I only want to count the occurrences tagged with noun| followed by the lemma without space.

I added the wordlist to the global settings and typed noun\| into the Context Search of the word tool. I ticked RegEx. I also added | as a token when creating the corpus by ticking “Symbols“ in the Token Definition Settings.

When searching, I get the error message: AST generate_query_where_terms_and_bind_values failed. Falling back to legacy. Also, the results shown after some time don’t match my search query, I am getting counts for nouns not preceded by noun|.

When creating the corpus, I chose the simple_word_pos_headword_indexer.

The AntConc version I am using is 4.4.0 on a Mac.

Could you tell me what I might do wrong?

Thanks a lot,

Jette

Hi Jette,

I suspect that your tagging scheme is not supported by AntConc. Can you post a single short tagged sentence?

Laurence.
