AntConc doesn't work on my Mac

I hope you are well.

I’ve installed the application Antconc on my MacBook, yet it doesn't work. I couldn’t download the corpus from manage your file icon. It shuts down the application whenever I click download. Any suggestions or solutions?

Hi Islam,

It looks like you tried to download all the corpora at the same time. This might take quite a long time. Did you wait for the downloads to finish? Can you try downloading just *one* of the small corpora and see if that works?

I tried with only one corpora, yet it did not work. Please, check the attached  short video to see how it quits last moment.

Hi,

I watched the video and it seems you are a little confused about what to do. I suggest you read the help guide. In the video, you seemed to be trying to load a corpus that was already loaded, and then you tried to download an entire set of corpora from a list instead of just one corpus from the list.

Dear Laurence,

The application quits at the final stage, even when trying to download one corpus file. I downloaded it again and the same problem is still there. I suspect it might be a VPN or antivirus application problem that is influencing or maybe the IP address, I assume.

Did you manage to fix your problem? If not, I suggest you might try the new AntConc 4.2.2 that I just released.
