In ”Concordance view/Search term” I want to search for a term e.g. computer* (or computers) but do not want to include other related words such as computerized, computerizing, computerise … .etc.

How do I ignore computeri* but include computer* ?

The problem is in a different language, I used the word computer for illustrating the issue.

Thank you.

Hi Emily,

If you know what words you don't want to include, do you also know which words you want to include? If so, you can specify them as OR alternatives:

computer|computers

I hope that helps.

Laurence.

Thank you. It is very helpful to use the symbol: | for OR alternatives.
Is there a list for other useful symbols. I only know * wildcard. And now I know this:  |

Thank you.

Hi Emily,

Sorry for the late reply. The list of wildcards is in the Global Settings menu!
