AntConc crashes on mac

Hiya,

I've been trying to use AntConc on my Macbook Air, but it crashes every time I try to upload the corpus I need to work with. I downloaded the latest version of AntConc for Macbook I could find on the official website (4.2.0) and the only thing I've managed to do is open the software. I have followed the standard procedure to upload the corpus (file>open file as quick corpus>selecting my corpus in .txt format) but it still does not work. I have also tried to upload my file from the corpus manager tool, hoping it would work, but when I select my file, it crashes. I even tried to select a fewer number of files (or even just one) to see if it would work, but it still crashes. 

I have not had this issue when working with the Windows version of AntConc, nonetheless, I would like to be able to use it on my Macbook as it is much faster.

Hi,

Did you install it by double clicking on the .dmg file and dragging the application to your Application folder?

That's the first thing to confirm.

Are you able to load the demo corpus that comes with AntConc and generate a word list or KWIC results?
