Hello Professor Anthony and others!
I hope you all are fine. Kindly help me out in hiding tagged markers (JJ, NN, RB, VB, CC etc.) in the POS tagged corpus, while it has been added to AntConc(4.2.4). I think previous versions of AntConc have the options of hiding the tags but I can't see the option in 4.2.4 version. I want the adjectives ( for example in KWIC) but not the tags JJ, JJR, JJS. Guide me please.
Thank you,

Laurence Anthony

Hi,

This is a common question. If you search in the discussion forum you should find the answer. But, in short, you need to load your corpus via the Corpus Manager, remembering to set the indexer to "simple_word_pos_headword". Once you do this, AntConc will automatically process the tags and then you can search for them, and also choose to hide them (by default) or show them via the settings.

It's all explained in the help guide, but I guess people don't tend to read it. I really need to make a short video on how to do this.

I hope that helps.

Laurence.
