Dear colleagues,
I hope this message finds you well. As UT faculty members with connections to Brazil, I am writing to inform you that the call for proposals for
UT
Austin's Fulbright Brazil Distinguished Chair is closing soon.
Texas Global kindly requests your assistance in sharing the call widely with your contacts in Brazil who may be interested.
UT Austin has a rich history of hosting Fulbright Brazil chairs in Brazilian Studies, and this new iteration for the 2026-2027 academic year is specifically focused on
Artificial Intelligence and Society.
The Fulbright Brazil Distinguished Chair is fully funded (through Fulbright Brazil and Texas Global) for one semester either in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027. Responsibilities for the chair include:
-
Teaching one course related to Brazil and Artificial Intelligence and Society
-
Fostering scholarly exchange through lectures, research sharing, and professional networking.
Please note that the current deadline may be extended.
Your support in disseminating this information among your colleagues in Brazil is greatly appreciated.
Warm Regards,
Holly Schneider
