Below is a list of all XCOM 2 console commands from the latest version of the game. These XCOM 2 cheat codes work with the console for all PC / Mac versions of the game including the Steam and non-Steam versions. Commands from all official DLCs (such as War of the Chosen) are also included.
In the below list of XCOM 2 cheats, some commands are marked with Avenger and Mission tags. These commands will likely only work when you are in a mission or in the Avenger (respective to the tag they are given). If you use a Mission command when in the Avenger, the game may not recognize the command (and vice versa).
Addtionally, some commands are from DLCs, and will only work if you have the required DLC installed. For example, the BondSoliders command is tagged with War of the Chosen - it will only work if you have WOTC installed.
Clicking the "Table View" and "Card View" buttons will change the way commands are displayed on your screen, some users find specific formats easier to use. More help and information including IDs and working command examples can be found on each command's page. You can visit a command's page by clicking on its name in the Table or Card View.
Anyone knows if it's possible to create new exec functions (aka console commands)? I've tried extending various cheatmanager classes but nothing works. If i define a new exec function, I can see it in autocomplete list when typing in the console, but I always get "command not recognized" when I hit enter.
I have been able to do that, and it works for me. I copied the function levelupbarracks in the hq cheat manager, and renamed it to levelupaliens. I must admit that I gave this mod privately to another modder here, and he reported just what you did, that he got "command not recognized". It does work for me, but there may be some bit I am missing to tell others.
First you need to decide which part of the game you need commands to work in (Tactical, Strategy). The game loads different GameInfo objects, each with their own PlayerController > CheatManager objects. Commands (exec functions) are defined in those CheatManager classes, and the hierarchy is as follows:
This is what I was originally missing, and why my commands failed to work. This method will work fine but as with all class overrides, you need to keep track of your XcomEngine.ini. If you want to use different CheatManager classes with different mods, this might become problematic. There is another way of doing it.
Basically, it just grabs XcomTacticalPlayerController and instantiates new CheatManager class. I have run this via a UIScreenListener which is set to listen to UITacticalHUD, and it worked. No class overrides needed.
For #1, please note XComTacticalCheatManager is "native core". When you attempt to extend it and write a ModOverride line, the game will not accept it. So for #1 you must make a highlander mod. I did not completely understand #2, but it may have the same problem.
I was able to extend XComHeadquartersCheatManager to add commands without any highlanders. I mentioned above that one other modder had some trouble using this. Since then both he, and another player who reported the problem, could solve the problem with the magic "remove and rebuild ini files" trick. So, for strategy level commands, there is a known solution. For tactical level, non-highlander, please confirm if you have made this work.
I warn you now that these XCOM Chimera Squad cheats will likely ruin the game for you, whether it is the challenge of running your own team with limited resources, or even the challenge of each and every mission being nullified because your agents are all invisible gods. Enter at your own risk.
Our XCOM Chimera Squad cheats guide will give you the steps to access the console commands, as well as some of the cheat codes you'll probably find the most useful. It is worth repeating that these cheats will likely ruin the game for you if you've not already completed the main campaign at least once, so use them only if you're comfortable with that.
XCOM Chimera Squad allows for players to cheat using console commands. You'll need to be able to access the console in order to enter the cheats. Accessing the console commands doesn't seem to lock you out of Steam achievements, but closer inspection will ensure people will know when you've been cheating. If you don't particularly care about this or wish to use the console commands to help with modding, here are the steps you need to take to access the console:
You may have seen elsewhere that setting the launch options in Steam is an alternative option for enabling console commands. I have tried it and setting launch options in Steam does not work. The only confirmed method is by following the above. You'll know when the console commands are enabled when the main menu has a lot of extra options displayed on screen.
For those outside of the US, you will need to do an additional step as your keyboard settings do not allow for the tilde key to be pressed. To do this in Windows 10, you will need to do the following:

Thanks for reading our XCOM Chimera Squad console commands guide. You are now free to do whatever you wish with console commands, though I'll try not to judge too much if you use them to cheat through the game. If you wish to play the game as it was intended, please do check out the rest of our guides below, which includes details on agent builds, as well as other key info.
This is a list of commands, items, perks, research, foundry projects, and others, that can be added/enabled via the developer's console. To activate the dev console, you will need to download the modified Engine.upk file from the Long War Nexus mod page.
To add a perk to one of your units, type GivePerk [array number] in the console while you are in Battlescape and your mouse pointer is over that unit or while in the LOADOUT screen for a given soldier (Added perks in the loadout menu will not be visible until you exit the loadout screen). To remove a perk, add a - (dash) before the perk number. The perk removal function only works in the Battlescape, not in the Loadout screen.
XCOM 2 came out earlier this month to wide acclaim, but it's also generally considered to be a good deal trickier than the previous title in the series. Thankfully, and just like in the original modern reboot of XCOM, there's a host of console commands and cheat codes that you can make use of if you've hit a total brick wall in your progress.
While using any of the following console commands will no doubt cheapen your XCOM 2 experience, keep in mind that - at the time of publication at least - applying them will not prevent you from making progress towards your Achievements.
In order to use any of these XCOM 2 cheats, you'll first of all need to change the launch options for the game. To do this, go to your Steam Library, locate the game, then right-click on XCOM 2 and select Properties. From here, look for the little button marked "Set Launch Options". Click it, then copy and paste the following in:
You can use console commands to provide the Avenger with various Facilities nice and easily, but there's a special trick to positioning them. You need to imagine the Avenger's layout as a grid with three columns as multiple rows, using the following positioning references:
On the subject of the Avenger, there are a couple of commands you can enter to both gain more Scientists and Engineers, and also immediately boost them up to the desired level. The higher the rating you assign to them, the more effective they are at their jobs, i.e. the faster they are at completing building and research projects.
While you're back at base you can also change the class of any given Soldier. Here are the designations you can apply, but note that all reassigned Soldiers are automatically granted Squaddie status. In the SOLDIER NAME section, just use the first and last name of the Soldier in question - don't include their nickname.
If all of that research sounds like too much work, you can make use of a number of Tech-related shortcuts in XCOM 2. Entering the following commands will provide you with a quick and easy advantage when it comes to sharpening your Tech edge.
There are many cheat codes you can enter to give yourself bonus items for absolutely zero effort, but the system can be a little bit unreliable. You might need to head into the missions select screen after entering the console command to see your ill-gotten goodies appear in the interface, for example.
Some players have also reported that you must first own at least one of each item in question for the GiveResource command to take effect. If that's the case, try replacing GiveResource with AddItem instead. This should force at least one of the items into your inventory.
If you don't mind poking around with the game's assortment of .ini files, you can also edit some general parameters to make life much easier. Do yourself a favour and make a back-up of each file before tinkering around with any of these values though - you don't want any clumsy typing accidents wrecking your core game set-up without a restore version on hand.
