I'm not sure if this is an AMS specific issue or more general, but if I am streaming from a tablet or mobile device (I have only tested thus far streaming from an iPad with Safari) and viewing with Firefox (on Mac, not tested on Windows/Linux), the orientation is ignored and the player video is upside down, or sideways. It works correctly on Chrome and Safari (haven't tested Edge).

I am using the AMS built in WebRTCAppEE app to test this.

Searching the web finds a number of issues that are closed for Firefox, implying that the problem should have been fixed a while (3+ years) ago.

Does anyone have any ideas or clues about how to resolve it? Can anyone else reproduce it? I am surprised at the lack of recent search results that I can find! Reproducing should be easy, just stream from an iPad in portrait mode and view with Firefox.

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

Does this issue reflect your problem? https://github.com/ant-media/Ant-Media-Server/issues/1619 . If so please comment on it if it is still an issue.

Thanks
