In the chase for low latency, reliable transmission, I understand that RTMP while widely available is not ideal.

It's also my understanding that WebRTC can be used as ingest protocol, but it's harder to find publishing apps that can create WebRTC from video signals.

With V25 OBS now has broad support for SRT, which is superior to RTMP.

An ideal setup for us would to be stream from OBS to AMS via SRT rather than RTMP, and then from there distribute via WebRTC.

Are the any plans to offer a version of AMS that can do SRT ingest?

I've done OBS via SRT to both Wowza and SRT Miniserver without problems. But they don't support WebRTC. Still hoping for the ideal combination.

Thanks,
Jan

Hi Jan,

As a member of the SRT Alliance, we plan to support SRT but not in the near future.

Best,
Asim

Thanks for the answer. That is unfortunate, but understandable.

I join in exactly the same words as Jan. I am very interested in the subject.
