30 seconds delay with RTMP input and HLS output

Why do I experience more than 30 seconds delay with RTMP input and HLS output ?

Due to the nature of HLS technology, at least 3 CHUNKs containing KEYFRAMEs should reach the viewer so that the video stream starts.

Check-List for this issue:

1. On the Admin Panel of Ant Media Server, LiveApp / Settings window:

• Segment List Size value should be 5
  
• Segment Duration value should be 2

2. On your RTMP video source (OBS, etc.), KEYFRAME period should be 2 seconds.

With the above settings, your RTMP to HLS video streaming experience would have 6 to 10 seconds latency, which is the nature of HLS technology.
