Also, you should check your firewall, for most of the time UDP ports are getting blocked for webRTC and people get publish time out errors. So please make sure that UDP ports between 5000-65000 are open for server and there are no blockage at the broadcaster. 

Also please share the log files, you can collect log files from cd /usr/local/antmedia/log/ folder

Yes, sometimes we will get socket timeout errors like below..

Even if we start video successfully after 30 min or 45 mins again we will get timeout error like below

Could you please collect the logs and share with us when you again face the "publishTimeoutError" issue. You can collect the log files from cd /usr/local/antmedia/log/ folder.
Also could you please tell us that which Ant Media server version you are using currently.

Hi Vinod,

There are several reasons for publish timeout errors and here are some of them.

1.) You should check your firewall, for most of the time UDP ports are getting blocked for webRTC and people get publish time out errors. So please make sure that UDP ports between  5000-65000 are open for server and there are no blockage at the broadcaster. 

2.) You can try changing settings.webrtc.client.start.timeoutMs= parameter according to your usage. This parameter default value is 5000. So Ant Media Server waiting for video with 5 seconds. You can increase 10 seconds with below:

settings.webrtc.client.start.timeoutMs=10000

You need to add in your application settings. You can see application settings here: cd /usr/local/antmedia/webapps/(LiveApp/WebRTCAppEE)/WEB-INF/red5-web.properties

3.)If there is a problem in the network(Firewall, UDP or other things), such a problem may occur. Some networks drop real-time packets.

Hi Yash,

As you suggested, UDP ports between  5000-65000 already it's there from starting and settings.webrtc.client.start.timeoutMs flag after increasing 5 sec to 10 sec also sometimes we are getting timeout Error.

Adding below ant-media-server.log and antmedia-error.log.

Hi Vinod,
As I checked in logs, it seems you are using your own custom STUN server which could also be the reason behind this intermittent issue.
In respect to STUN perspective, having your own STUN server over Google's does not have much difference. You can use Google STUN server.
Default STUN server in Ant Media Server is "stun:stun1.l.google.com:19302"

Just change the pc_config in your player or publisher. It should be something like this. 

 var pc_config = {

                        'iceServers' : [ {

                                'urls' : 'stun:stun1.l.google.com:19302'

                        } ]

                };
