Combine the results

Can any one help, how to combine the results from two rst file and get
the superimposed results.

Say for example,

For the cantilever beam, type 1 - load - 50 N - results will be - 10mm
say
type 2 - load - 100 N - result
will be - 20mm

I want to superimpose these two..

Not for this particular case but I use scripts in Matlab to handle the rst
files.

You have many functions there to work with textfiles.

Hi Angel,

 

Thanks for your valuable guidance, I want to carry out this procedure in ansys itself.

 

I want to combining the two rst file to get new rst file which contains superimpose of the results of two.

 

For Example,

 

I run the 1st loadcase with gravity as input - will get 1 rst file,

2 run the 2nd loadcase with pressure as input - will get 1 rst file

 Now i need to combine these two result file and get 3rd rst file.

 

 

Please can suggest me how this can be done. I know little this can be done using "LCDEF" command, but if can explain in detail it will be useful.
