I would certainly be interested in hearing stories from events that are happening now.
I had expected that by this point in the project that I would be actively soliciting information from the populace about our history and posting it to the website. Unfortunately I have gotten rather bogged down on the technical side of the project as I am bringing my web skill up to par.
The web side of things has rather gotten away from me as the site has grown to hundreds of individual pages. I thought that I had planned thinks out before I started but as I got further into the project my needs changed, and rather than go back and change all those pages I am working behind the scenes on a redesign. I am going to start over using a web tool called Joomla. This will make the management of all that data and all those pages a lot easier, AND allow me to give others the ability to work on the pages as well so I don't have to do everything myself.
I'm busy right now trying to teach myself to use Joomla and get it to do what I want it to do. What I really need right now is someone who is a Joomla / CSS guru who can help me flatten out that learning curve.
While I am working on that there is no reason why anyone who is wanting to help cannot be gathering and organizing information so that it will be there ready to go when I have the tech stuff sorted out.
The discussion group has a place to upload files, and I can always add interesting stuff into the existing History pages.
Among the things I am wanting is someone who has access to a good collection of old Black Stars to put together a calender of all the events since Ansteorra became a principality. I have started on that but have nearly exhausted the information I have available.
I could also use someone to work on collecting and getting permission to use, a photograph of each of cour Crowns, preferably taken during their reign but I'll settle for anything I can get.
I want a timeline of all the important events in our history, preferably with the stories behind those events.
I would also like a timeline for the founding for each branch.
I would love to include a narrative history and timeline for each branch, including the branches that have been disbanded. This page should also list all the past Champions of the group.
I would like a database of all the Kingdom Officers. Who held what office and when.
I would love to have a biography section for each person mentioned in the history.
You can see why I am looking for a way to share the workload.
If anyone would like to help out with any part of this please let me know. There is no reason why people can't be gathering together the history while I am working on how to best present it.

Possibly, they could be listed on the history calendar underneath that
portion of the timeline.
As we, I use that loosely, travel about Ansteorra and attend events..
would you be interested in narrative story based on facts that
happened at said event? Again, in this way we can store history that
those decades from now might be interested in.
