A customer recently asked me for a comparison of AN-SOF vs NEC4/5 ground models, so I created this table.

Unlike NEC, AN-SOF lets you model wire connections to ground either with ohmic losses or as zero-ohm connections. This option is available in both the Sommerfeld–Wait and Radial Wire Ground Screen models.

Since AN-SOF includes four different lossy ground models, I’m preparing an online Ground Model Selector to help you pick the most suitable model based on ground conductivity, frequency, and antenna height.
