However, before printing notes pages, consider viewing your notes in Presenter View instead. You can view your notes as you deliver your presentation on a second monitor to conserve paper and printer ink. For more information, see View your speaker notes privately, while delivering a presentation on multiple monitors.

You can type and format your notes as you work in Normal view, but to see how your notes pages will print and to see the full effect of any text formatting, such as font colors, switch to Notes Page view. You can also check and change the headers and footers of your notes in Notes Page view.

To add art, such as a shape or picture, or to format all the notes pages in your presentation, change the Notes Master. For example, to put a company logo or other piece of art on all notes pages, add the art to the Notes Master. Or, if you want to change the font style for all notes, change the style on the Notes Master. You can change the look and position of the slide area, notes area, headers, footers, page numbers, and date.

We imagined a three-poster public service campaign about effective poster design, which we named Pressing Issues: A Series on Ink, Paper, and Muscle. We wrote some copy and made a couple of really rough sketches and the left it to the crew at Hatch to design and print.

And. They. Killed. It.

We're a service based business so our field technicians like paper copies of customer records. The Hubspot CRM tool is so incredibly powerful yet the lack of this basic feature is a huge hinderence. When I try to print the browser window, Hubspot condenses the print area far too much as well so that's not an option either.

A general print function is imperative to detail and review with outside sources/employees/Team members the entire converstation, notes taken etc even as a form of documentation is certain instances. It doesn't seem like printing to PDF should be a hard function to implement.

I ran across this while testing Asana. Cannot see at all what use it it to not have option to print comments and export. Makes it all a waste of time. Why bother adding status notes etc? Seriously needs to be added. If I use a tool and cannot get my data out - when I need to - it is something I need to pass by. Big oversight IMO

A pdf is what EN is not: A strictly page oriented format. The origins of the pdf format were the inability of Windows to provide the same print output of the same document on different computers. Page breaks for example were notorious to jump a row up or down.

This thread is about printing on iOS. EN uses the iOS print engine. So basically you need to talk to Apple if you want this print engine improved. But of course, EN support will listen as well. This forum is user2user.

Related to this, you can use the reports section to view multiple page pdf attachments, but you still can only print/print to pdf, the first page. So if you are trying to export an entire record you have to go to each pdf seperately or copy them out of the patient ID number file under sites/default/documents. This gets to be a pain as the entities requesting records from us seem to be multiplying quickly as more electronic records are used.

One problem I see with creating reports is that after using this for a while there could be a long list of Encounters. I only see a way to check each individually. Is there some trick to get it to select all?

Regarding the multi-page pdf issue cverk brought up, agree that this is a issue that needs to be dealt with at some point. Placed an item for it on the Projects page:
-emr.org/wiki/index.php/Active_Projects#Correctly_output_multi-page_pdf_documents_in_Patient_Report
(note almost all of these projects on this active page are rather important, but will likely need sponsorship of a pro to get them done)

When i scan a document with Apple Notes, it looks in notes like a scanned document, when I try to print it, it looks in the print preview on the screen like a photo not like the scanned document plus it adds a blank page (I belive the blank page is the note area around the scan), when it actually prints, it prints the photo including all the space around what I cropped in the scan document.

Example: I scan a page in a book, cropping the area around the section I want to keep in the scan. When I go to print, it both shows in the print preview and actually prints the areas I cropped out and it looks like a color photo as opposed to how it looks in the note as a scan.

Similar issue. Until Sonoma, I scanned documents with the iPhone Notes app and then easily saved the document as a PDF with the Mac Notes app (by right-clicking on the scanned document). That option no longer appears. I tried File>Export as PDF and only get the first page of the document plus the background as you noted.

My current workaround is to use the iPhone Notes app to save the document to Files (Share>Save to Files) and then rename it on the Mac. One downside is a unneeded text.txt file is also created when I save. Using Share>Print should help you if you can print from your iPhone.

I have the exact same problem. Before Sonoma I could print scans from the Notes app with a simple double click on the image in Notes. Made a quick and good PDF. Now with Sonoma I get the background of the entire photo, not the cropped scanned document. And, I can't find any work around to export or print a PDF. Anyone else found a fix? Thanks!

It never occurred to me to use Notes for scanning. I just tried it and I can say that there are a lot of scanner apps in App Store that do a much better job. I have used iScanner from BPMobile (beware many apps have the same name) for over 10 years and I'm very satisfied (this is not paid publicity and I have no affiliation with this company). I tried the one from Adobe also but I wasn't impressed enough to switch.

I have created an extensive Keynote with presenter notes. There is a potential that I may not be able to have my computer in front of me during one of my presentation. Can I print out just my notes. Thanks!

You can print a copy of your presentation with notes using the File > Print command. Your print dialogue should offer a Keynote Printing option - select Handout > Add Notes and the number of slides per page you want (I find 3 works for me) - the size of your Presenter Note Text can be adjusted to suit your needs.

I still can't get this to work. It is putting one word per line. I don't know how to get rid of the invisible character is MSWord (I looked online and didn't find much for Mac). When I copy and paste I do so to "match destination formatting" or as "keep text only", but it still keeps one word per line.

If you are using MS Word for your text editor, look on your Standard Toolbar and see if there is a button with a paragraph mark on it - this will allow you to "View All" and see invisibles on your page - you can add this command to your toolbar in MS Word if needed using MS Word > Tools > Customize > View > View All > Add to Tool bar

I Did that and each word had a paragraph symbol after it. I don't know why that would be. I'm now looking to see if I can simply get rid of all paragraphs at once on the document.

Without some additional information (such as OS and printer model including PDL used such as PostScript, PCL, etc.) and posting a sample PDF file that exhibits this problem when printing, there is precious little that anyone here (or anywhere) can do to assist you.

Adobe would not let me print the document as a PDF to my desktop, but told me to save it to file, so I saved it as a document. However, I don't see any option to attach it here, and I couldn't even drag and drop it as a screen shot.

Hi Scott. Try opening it with Preview. Right click on the file and use "open with" and select the Apple app that comes with the OS called Preview. Print from there. I have see Adobe DC do this same thing to random files I save out as a PDF from Sibelius. And I do mean random: I save out all my sheet music using the exact same font set, sizing and workflow. If printing right from Preview doesn't do it, try exporting it from Preview as a TIFF file and then open and print that. You can try with Preview or any TIFF reader. I know that defeats the whole purpose for a PDF file, but perhaps a lesser scientist than Dov at Adobe will emerge to keep the format relavant to musicians.

Thanks Bill! Finally this problem is solved. Thanks to you. I've searched for a solution everywhere and I don't think I am alone. I really hope that I can continue printing score sheets that I have developed in Sibelius from Adobe Acrobate in the fututre, but now it doesn't look so due to the very low engagement Dov at Adobe seems to have in this matter.

Hello all, I now have this same problem - just started a few months ago. No idea why! But I tried your workaround using Preview>TIFF and this has not worked for me - I even tried converting to jpg and of course to no avail. Am I perhaps missing something? I am on Apple Mac.
