the Live Events doesn't  work on my tower(running in my local ubuntu 14) , so I follow the instruction to hit https://localhost:8080 with my firefox :

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to ubuntu.vb.fnz:8080. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

I tried to check the cert of the SSL port 8080, I can see :

root@ubuntu:/etc/apache2 # openssl s_client -connect localhost:8080
CONNECTED(00000003)
140279425058464:error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol:s23_clnt.c:795:
---
no peer certificate available
---
No client certificate CA names sent
---
SSL handshake has read 7 bytes and written 305 bytes
---
New, (NONE), Cipher is (NONE)
Secure Renegotiation IS NOT supported
Compression: NONE
Expansion: NONE

what is the problem ?

thanks & Regards

another issue:

I tried to follow the link  https://support.ansible.com/hc/en-us/articles/204187443-Changing-the-WebSockets-port-for-live-events to change the port 8080 to 7443 ( maybe more SSL friendly) But can not see any process listen to 7443 after i restarted server;  The old process that listen t 8080 still running .  how can i fix the issue ?

thanks and regards

Please send your Tower query to sup...@ansible.com - this list is for
discussion of the Ansible project itself, not Tower.

Thanks,

Hello Team,

I didnot get any support from the ansible to the same  issue. So will you please suggest me the live events error for connection failed to node from the control machine in linux vm.

I attached the error pic in below.
