sphere_guest convert to template

I've looked through the documentation and searched and haven't been able to find an answer for this. Is there an option to convert a vm from template and back? When a new package comes out for a system or we change our standard config, I want to bring the templates out, boot them up, apply changes, and then shut them back down and turn them into templates again. This way we aren't recreating the wheel every time we deploy a mass of machines and we can keep our gold images u to date.

i believe the answer is 'not with vsphere_guest', there are a bunch of
vmware modules in the works (many have been added to extras), so I
expect that this might be supported in the future.
