Instance group precedence

Ansible docs say instance group selected in template has higher precedence than instance group in inventory.
Instance group in inventory has hugest precedence than instance group in organization.
Instance group in inventory has hugest precedence than instance group in organization.
Template > Inventory > Organisation.
If 1 organization has 3 different instance groups and have not selected any instance group under template/inventory.
On what factors will ansible decide on which instance group my job gets executed on..???
