disable hostname lookups for winrm? 20 - 40 second delay unless controllers ip has a hostname.

Using winrm, i always get an18 - 45 second delay. only tried with the "setup" and "win_ping" modules, unless running ansible from an ip with a hostname set in dns.
is there a way to disable hostname lookups for winrm?
