Job Details:
· The candidate must have 7-10 years of experience in IT or relevant industry.
· This role is for a Senior Java developer with strong SQL experience preferably with Oracle and requires UNIX/Linux, cloud technologies and scripting (shell and VB Macro) experience.
· Knowledge of financial industry practices preferred, but not required. Willingness to learn vendor reconciliation tools and assist in ongoing support and configuration as needed.
Candidate Responsibilities:
DB Skills:
· Oracle/SQL programming
· DB Performance analysis and tuning
· Assess impact of upgrading from Oracle 11g to 19c
Development skills:
· Experience in Cloud technologies, Java/Unix/VBA scripts
· Experience in Eclipse, XML, spring, Hibernate, MVC, and JS Framework skills. Experience in requirements analysis and system design
Other
requirements for this role:
· Proven problem solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
· Ability to work both independently as well as within a team
· Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies
· Analyzing business requirements and application code,
· Translating business requirements into actionable specifications
· developing, testing and deploying code
· Production support as needed
· Nice to have (not required) Financial Industry practices
Education
· Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in a computer or IT related subject
