There is no "definitive" app. Faithlife has many different apps aimed at different audiences. The Faithlife eBook app is geared towards a more general "Christian Book Store" audience, rather than those pursuing academic / Bible studies.
Thanks I just wonder if 2 apps that literally look and perform the same functions are needed. A simple renam and re market would do the same. so anyone with simple needs send to the ebook app and apecific.
One possible reason for having the 2 apps on your device(s) is to use the Ebooks app for just general reading and to use the Bible app for study. This will keep the apps cleaner and minimize the number of open tabs.
Erwin is correct. Beside Noet folks not wanting crosses all over the place, multiple versions allow several study environments. I think I use 3 Logos apps daily-ish. I also do the same with 3 Paperwhite versions.
Just jumping in here but thanks for the "heads up" regarding the switch to show all resources in the e-book app. I can now show all my resources, find what books I'm looking for, download them and then switch back to only showing e-book purchases and downloads. Super awesome! Thanks again :-)
Old topic, I know.
The think I am trying to figure out: Are there any real differences between the Faithlife Study Bible app and the Faithlife Ebooks app?
I know the difference between the Logos App and the two named above. And I know the difference between a Faithlife ebook and a Logos book.
But what differences are there between the apps themselves? I have a copy of each, in addition to the Logos app. I can't see any differences between the other two though. Are there any and if so, what are they?
Actually I don't know firsthand, since I use only the Logos app on mobile devices. From what I read recently, the FSB app may have some interactive features like following threads on faithlife.com with push messages. It may also be the only one supporting Community Notes (this from memory some time back, I may be wrong here).
However, I would like to make clear that PCE KJV is not a perfect Bible translation, nor is it the only translation that God uses. God has raised up many wonderful and genuine Christians using the NASB, NIV, ESV, Chinese Bibles, Arabic Bibles, and so on.
God has kept his Word preserved. And it seems God has put his fingerprint on the Bible so that we can be confident that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, (2 Timothy 3:16) and that the Bible did not come to be by the will of man, but holy men of God moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
Chris did a great job on this! You can download the free Kindle App Software for Mac and use the KJV eBook Bible using the Mac Kindle App. I use this great KJV Bible Chris publishes on my Mac and on various Kindle devices. Amazon makes Kindle Apps for iPhone and iPad, Android devices, Windows PCs, and Macs. The KJV eBook Bible should work on any Kindle app or device.
I have a new Kindle Voyage. I have been unable to get the verse search feature to work with this Bible. Does it work with a Kindle Voyage? If it should work, do you have any idea about what I am doing wrong? Thank you.
The scriptures are inspired of God. However, there is one best among the many versions believe me or not! The Version that carries the many spirits or nearest to the fullness of the spirit in a single verse or for the whole of the Holy Book is the best version. I mean, because God is a Spirit the words translated out from the original scriptures must be spirit filled. Many translations today diminish the spirits in a verse. What is appalling is that they take away the spirit of Fear of the Lord and the spirit of judgment and burning in the many letters that they translate. This is the one of the silent reason why it is written the letter killeth but the spirit giveth life. Diminish , add, or divide the word of truth wrongly and, I bet, you will have a big trouble. If one is able to try & weigh the spirits that a single translation brings then you are not far from having the Spirit of Truth and Revelation. Know that God weigheth the spirits, the path, the actions and the ways of a man. He that hath an ear let him hear.
Afterall, the Kingdom of God is not of words but of Power. The power to change a man for sinfulness to becoming holy and perfect and clean in heart and mind. Having the spirit of love and power and of the sound mind will keep you in the way of life for the interpretation of the scriptures will and must be in the spirit and not in letters. the interpretation in the letters is only the truth in part but the interpretation in the spirit is what Paul said, the one that is Perfect to do away the thing which is in part. He that hath an ear let him hear.
I guess what I am trying to say (in so many words) is how amazed I am that such a valuable and comprehensive work as the entire KJV bible could be downloaded so quickly. It is divine, in its own way. Yes! I will support your efforts to make this work available to everyone. This is a God-send, literally, for the spiritually hungry. Sometimes, technology can be useful for the purposes of God. May God continue to bless you and your efforts to spread His word to the world.
Think of what a bold statement that would have been for a normal human to make. Yet, because God knows the end from the beginning, He can confidently make such a prophetic statement. And with technology, and instant communication, we now can see how that will be possible.

The Bible in one year is helping us to understand the Bible in simplified way by Fr Michael. It answers many questions that I have been asking myself. Reading the Bible together is motivating and interesting. The way he has chosen the books is very inspiring and it keeps the fire burning. Thank you Fr Michael for the good job you are doing. I read the Bible in one year with you from Finland. God bless you.
